Privacy Policy
Who we are
Winky (winky.ge) runs online competitions where people vote with stars, and the Social Playground where members meet, chat, play small games and challenge each other. This policy explains what we collect and why.
What we collect
- Sign-in data: when you log in with Facebook or Google we receive your name, profile picture, e-mail address (Google) and the account id of that service. For site accounts we store your username.
- Profile data you give us: first name, last name and phone number (required to enter a competition); in the playground your display name, birth year, optional city or region, bio, interests, photos, and optional intro video or voice.
- Content: competition photos and videos, chat messages, game answers, challenge entries, reactions and reports.
- Activity: votes and stars, connections, room memberships, challenges and the points, badges and titles you earn.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, pages visited and sign-in attempts, kept in server logs for security.
- Cookies: a session cookie keeps you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies.
How we use it
- to run competitions: show entries, count stars, find winners and hand over prizes;
- to run the playground: profiles, discovery, chat, games, challenges and notifications;
- to keep people safe: age-appropriate rules, blocking, reports, moderation and preventing vote fraud or spam;
- to understand how the site is used and to improve it.
What other people can see
- Competition entries (photo, first name and the first letter of the last name, stars) are public. Your phone number and full surname are never shown publicly.
- Playground members see your playground profile. Your age and city are shown only if you choose; the exact birth date and precise location are never shown.
- Private messages are visible only to the people in that conversation. Read receipts are shown only when both people allow them.
- Photos you upload are re-encoded and their hidden location data (EXIF/GPS) is removed.
Young people
You must be at least 13 to use the Social Playground. Members aged 13-17 are kept in a separate group: they do not appear in discovery for adults, and adults cannot send them private messages, games or direct challenges. Their city is never shown. Accounts that appear to be under 13 can be reported and will be removed.
Sharing
We do not sell your data. We share it only with the services needed to run Winky (the Facebook or Google login you choose, and our hosting), with competition sponsors when you win a prize and need to receive it, or when the law requires it.
How long we keep data
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your own messages at any time. When you ask us to delete your account we remove your profile, photos and messages, except records we must keep for security or legal reasons.
Your rights
You can see and edit your profile, change your privacy settings (who can message you, whether you appear in discovery, online status, read receipts), block people and report content. To get a copy of your data, correct it or delete your account, contact us at info@winky.ge.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above. Important changes will be announced on the site.
